Capitol’s designer, Michaela, created this kitchen based on specific needs of the customer. The customer desired a spacious work area to prepare and cook his family meals and to keep the kitchen with in its original 140 square feet footprint. In addition, when entertaining, the customer was concerned about interfering with his guests as they accessed the refrigerator and wine cooler. This gave Michaela the chance to switch the stove and refrigerator to create a functional wide work area for the stove and a clear walk way to the refrigerator and wine cooler.

The customer wanted to update the look of his kitchen from a traditional oak wood cabinet to a transitional khaki painted cabinet.

This cabinet used Woodland’s opaque finish in Khaki on Maple. Our opaque enamel finish is a catalyzed conversion enamel applied in a 7-step process to achieve a multi-layer and highly durable finish. An enamel finish is considered one of the hardest in the industry.

Appliance panels, a tiled back splash, quartz counter top, and above and under cabinet lighting were included in this updated kitchen design that helped transition into a show piece.
