OUR PROCESS

Renovating your home is a big investment of time and money. That’s why we’ve spent the last 70 years creating our design process that is as painless as it is effective. It helps us bring your designs to life without blowing your budget or compromising on quality.

We’ll help you define your dream space and we’ll keep you in the loop every step of the way. That’s just one of the many ways we put you first.  We’ll also educate you every step of the way so that you can feel good about the decisions you’re making.

And you’re always invited to visit one of our three showrooms. Come see full-size vignettes and feel the materials we’ll use in your new design.

INITIAL SHOWROOM CONSULTATION

Saratoga Showroom

Whether you call, email, or walk-in to the showroom to browse, the process really gets started with a scheduled appointment for a showroom consultation. At this meeting with a Designer, bring your ideas and any list of your wants and needs; and allow enough time for your designer to get to know you and your project. Your designer will guide you through our displays, educating you on our product offerings, and learn about your likes and dislikes. We’ll discuss your potential budget and explain how the entire process will work.

IN HOME VISIT

The designer will meet with you in your home to evaluate the space, take detailed measurements, and address your functional and aesthetic goals, including any special needs or considerations.

THE DESIGN PHASE

The designer will then develop a detailed floor plan, along with cost estimates based on your design style preferences, your “wish list,” and your budget. Our Designer will create a set of drawings which may include elevations and 3-D perspectives.

ORDER/ INSTALLATION PHASE

Kitchen Installation

Order:   The Order phase is fairly straight forward- now that we have the product selected, we order it! It is always best to allow plenty of time as it can take anywhere from 3 weeks up to 8 or 9 weeks to get your product. It all varies based on the vendor, the product chosen, and the time of year. During the design phase, make sure to talk to your designer about when you want to start the installation of your project so we have plenty of time to get everything delivered on time.

Installation:   The Installation Phase will turn your house upside down! How long this phase will take arrives greatly depending on your project, but your contractor will be able to give you more details about what to expect during this time. It will be a fascinating time for you and your family to see your space completely transform from what you know to what you have dreamed of and designed!
